BIM Documentation would be the foundation of any BIM project and this would be needed at various stages with the lifecycle of a BIM project. BIM-specific documents provides project, the information that ensures all of the project team are aligned with the work flow and management of data will be produced and shared throughout the lifecycle of a project.

 

Projects will have efficient results when following a clear strategy defined at the start by creating a BIM Execution Plan (BEP).

 

It is important that documents are tailored to the needs of the project and project teams.

 

It is also essential when working on any international collaborative project to ensure that everyone working on the project is on the same page to avoid  overlapping or overwriting someone else's work.
